A new minute long behind the scenes featurette for Rise of the Planet of the Apes has been released in which director Rupert Wyatt talks about the films story. The video also gives us some footage from the film as well well as some behind the scenes footage.

This movie looks a lot better than what I was expecting it to be. Weta has done a fantastic job on the films special effects. Now lets hope the story is just as good. If you haven't watched the teaser trailer for the film yet, you can check it out here.

Watch the new featurette below and tell us what you think! Are you excited for this film, now that you've seen what's in store for us? Or are you still sour about it?

Synopsis

An origin story in the true sense of the word, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is set in present day San Francisco. The film is a reality-based cautionary tale -- a science fiction/science-fact blend where mankind's hubris leads to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy. Oscar(R)-winning visual effects house WETA Digital - employing certain of the groundbreaking technologies developed for "Avatar" - will render, for the first time ever in the film series, photo-realistic apes rather than costumed actors.
