District 5 Tributes Cast in THE HUNGER GAMES

Surprise! More casting news for The Hunger Games! Two more young actor have been cast in the film to battle it out to the death. Director Gary Ross and Lionsgate have cast Chris Mark and Jackie Emerson as the District 5 tributes. Emerson will play Foxface, a character who becomes a significant and worthy adversary for Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson). Mark on the other hand does not have a name.

I think they completely nailed the casting for Foxface. Here's a description of the character who never say's a word in the book.

Foxface is the perfect name for the sly and sneaky tribute. She has fire-red hair, amber eyes and sharp, fox-like features. Foxface also is smaller than most of the tributes. All tributes are 12 to 18 years old, but her exact age is never said.

Foxface proved to be one of the smartest and most clever tributes in the games. She demonstrates this several times throughout the book by doing various things, like stealing supplies from other tributes, that benefits her and damages the victims. She was independent, always working alone and was sly and probably untrustworthy. Katniss believed that getting Foxface into an alliance would earn her a knife in the back.

They will join the already cast Lawrence, Hutcherson, Amandla Stenberg, Elizabeth Banks, Dayo Okeniyi, Leven Rambin, Jack Quaid, Liam HemsworthPaula Malcolmson, Willow ShieldsIan Nelson, Ethan Jamieson,Tara Macken and Kalia Prescott. It was also rumored earlier today that offers went out to Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz to appear in the film.

What are your thought's on the casting of Foxface?
