Craig Gillespie to Direct PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES

Fright Night remake director Craig Gillespie will soon be set as the new official director for the film adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith novel Pride And Prejudice And Zombies. Gillespie has been at the top of Lionsgate's list of directors since Mike White dropped out the the project. The last that we heard, the books author and partner David Katzenberg were being considered as possible director candidates. But, the studio will start negotiations with the new director soon, who also directed the great indie film Lars and the Real Girl.

Gillespie is a solid director who I'm sure will end up making a great film adaptation of the story, which is an expanded version of the the Jane Austen classic. It tells the tale of a woman’s quest for love and independence amid the outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the undead into vicious killers. It will be cool to see this director's vision of the story.

What are your thoughts on Gillespie taking on this film project?
