SyFy Renews SCARE TACTICS for a Fifth Season

The Syfy Channel has renewed the hilarious comedy hidden camera reality series Scare Tactics for a fifth season. Actor-comedian Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) will return as the executive producer and Host for the half-hour show. SyFy picked up 13 new episodes for season 5. The show will start production this spring for a fall 2012 premiere. The series was created and executive produced by Scott Hallock and Kevin Healey.

This is one of the few reality TV series that I watch because it always makes me laugh. I really enjoy watching this show, and I'm happy to see that it's not ending. I love watching these people go through and react to insane situations.

Syfy has re-upped its frighteningly funny hidden camera reality seriesScare Tactics for a fifth season, it was announced today by Mark Stern, President Original Content, Syfy and Co-Head, Original Content, Universal Cable Productions. Actor/comedian Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) will return as host and executive producer for the half-hour, 13-episode pick-up order. Season Five ofScare Tactics begins production this spring and is scheduled to premiere Fall 2012.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing back Scare Tactics for another season,” said Stern. “Tracy is the ultimate prankster and Syfy fans will absolutely enjoy a new round of hilarious episodes,” said Stern.

Scare Tactics is a hidden camera show with a sci-fi twist. The show conspires with friends and family members to lure those close to them into outrageous scenarios. Unsuspecting victims find themselves in shocking situations from alien abductions to brushes with the living dead. Scare Tactics is a fun roller coaster ride that takes advantage of the age-old practice of friends playing practical jokes on each other. “Boo” is one of the oldest tricks in the book! The second half of Scare Tactics Season Four will return in October 2011 with six new episodes.

Scott Hallock and Kevin Healey of Hallock Healey Entertainment are the executive producers and creators of Scare Tactics.
