Aaron Eckhart, AnnaSophia Robb and Sean Bean to star in dark PETER PAN film

Aaron Eckhart, AnnaSophia Robb and Sean Bean are set to star in a darker version of Peter Pan. Ben Hibon is directing the project titled Pan, which was originally set up at New Line for Guillermo del Toro to direct. We first reported on this project in November, when it was still gaining traction. Recently we told you about three different Pan projects in various stages of development. It looks as though Hibord's project has taken the lead.

Ben Magid wrote the script that tells that has the Captain Hook character (Eckhart) reimagined "as a tormented former detective on the trail of a childlike kidnapper." Robb is set to star as Wendy, "the lone survivor who leaves an asylum to help in the hunt." Bean will play Smee, "the chief detective and Hook’s only ally on the force." The film is expected to begin production in Easter Europe in October after the project is sold at Cannes this week.

This is a great cast and one of the most interesting Peter Pan projects on the horizon. Channing Tatum is also set to play pan in another film version, which I am not as excited to see. I will give all of these projects a chance until we learn more about them. Bean and Eckhart are great actors. This will be a great high profile role for Robb.
