Barry Sonnenfeld developing DINOSAURS VERSUS ALIENS film and graphic novel
Barry Sonnenfeld has found his next project once he wraps Men In Black III. He is teaming up with comic book writer Grant Morrison to develop a graphic novel and film entitled Dominion: Dinosaurs Versus Aliens. Morrison is best known for the comics Batman and The Invisibles. He will write both the graphic novel and the script with Sonnenfeld set to direct. The project is part of a deal with publishing/movie deal with Liquid Comics and producer Arnold Rifkin under his Cheyenne Enterprises.
Sonnefeld revealed that he is huge fan of dinosaurs."Growing up, my fascination was all things dinosaur, and as an adult, I've had some success making films about aliens, so this is a dream come true." Sonnenfeld first met Liquid Comics founder Sharad Devarajan when he wrote a forward for one of Liquid's graphic novels. "We've been trying to do a project ever since," said the director.
The graphic novel will be published in both print and digital formats later this year. It will tell the story of "a secret prehistoric world war battle. When an alien invasion attacks Earth in the age of the dinosaurs, the planet's only hope is the giants that roam the planet with, it turns out, a lot more intelligence than previously realized."
This sounds like an awesome combination to me. I am very excited about Cowboys & Aliens this summer, so why not Dinosaurs Versus Aliens! What are your thoughts on this news?
