First clip from THE DESCENDANTS starring George Clooney

Fox Searchlight has released the first clip from their upcoming film The Descendants. The drama is directed by Alexander Payne and stars George Clooney. The film is based on the novel by Kaui Hart Hemmings, and stars Clooney as "an indifferent husband and father of two girls, who is forced to re-establish his relationship with his daughters after his wife suffers a boating accident off of Waikiki."

The film also stars Judy Greer, Beau Bridges, Matthew Lillard, Robert Forster, Shailene Woodley, Mary Birdsong, Nick Krause and Amara Miller. The Descendants arrives in theaters on December 16.
