STRAW DOGS Movie Trailer with James Marsden

Screen Gems has released the first trailer for the upcoming remake of the insane 1971 Dustin Hoffman film Straw Dogs. I loved the original, but this remake with James Marsden and Kate Bosworth doesn't look like it will be that bad. It looks like they didn't hold back on the vilolence aspect of the story. The film was directed by Rob Lurie and also stars Alexander Skarsgård, Walton Goggins and Drew Powell.

Here's the short synopsis for the film:

David and Amy Sumner, a Hollywood screenwriter and his actress wife, return to her small hometown in the deep South to prepare the family home for sale after her father's death. Once there, tensions build in their marriage and old conflicts re-emerge with the locals, including Amy's ex-boyfriend Charlie, leading to a violent confrontation. 

The movie is scheduled for release on September 16th 2010. Watch the trailer below and tell us what you think!
