First details about Seth MacFarlane's TED revealed

The first details have been released about Seth MacFarlane's live-action feature, Ted. We have reported on various bits of casting news, the most recent being Laura Vandervoort being cast. The cast also includes Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Joel McHale, Giovanni Ribisi and Patrick Warburton.

Ted follows an average Boston guy play by Wahlberg who's normal except for the childhood wish he made that his teddy bear could come to life... which it did. Years later, the boy is an adult and the bear is still his best friend. But the bear, a carousing, irresponsible slacker, is getting in the way of his buddy committing to adulthood and the girl he loves. Ribisi will play Donny, a man who's obsessed with Ted.

The movie is shooting in Boston

Ted, the teddy bear, works at a convenience store

Ted has sex with a woman in the back room of the store, next to some Pepsi. Apparently, Pepsi is one of the movie's big sponsors.

Mila Kunis plays an ad exec

There are a few references to the 1980's Flash Gordon feature film. The actor who played Flash makes a cameo, and they also recreated at least one of the vehicles from the movie.
