Most video game movie adaptations are terrible, even the highest rated video game adaptation, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, listed on Rotten Tomatoes has a 43% rating. Just because the movies suck doesn't mean they don't make money because they do. The highest grossing movie of all time is Lara Croft: Tomb Raider with over $274 million dollars, which still isn't really that much money. Video games could make for some amazing films, and they could be huge hits if Hollywood actually starts making them right. Hopefully like comic book movie they eventually get it right.
