Elijah Wood joins Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg in CELESTE AND JESSE FOREVER

Elijah Wood has joined the cast of the romantic comedy Celeste and Jesse Forever. Lee Toland Krieger is currently shooting the film that stars Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg. The script was written by Jones andWill McCormack, follows "a couple (Jones and Samberg) in the midst of a divorce attempting to maintain their friendship while pursuing new relationships." Wood stars as Celeste’s business partner, a metrosexual who tries to be her “saucy gay friend.”

The cast also includes Emma Roberts, Ari Graynor and Chris Messina. The film is being produced by Jennifer Todd and Suzanne Todd for Team Todd along with Lee Nelson for Envision Media Arts. 

Wood will be starring in his first TV series this summer, called Wilfred. It premieres June 23 on FX and runs for 13 episodes. He will also reprise his role this summer as Frodo in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit and will be voicing a lead in Tron: Uprising for Disney. He will be seen in the Sky TV and Syfy adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Islandand the animated tentpole Happy Feet 2.

It is good to see Wood back on the big scren and it will be cool to see him on the small screen. He rounds out a really solid cast. What are your thought son this casting news?
