THE HANGOVER Part III headed to Amsterdam?
The Hangover Part II is kicking the summer off with a bang, and is expected to top $135 million in domestic box office over the holiday weekend. It is very likely that there will be a Hangover Part III. The big question, where will the wolfpack be headed next?
Jamie Chung told THR that at the Las Vegas premiere, "Probably Amsterdam. If you think of the coolest, craziest cities in the world, it would have to be Las Vegas, Bangkok and Amsterdam.”
Justin Bartha (Doug) said, "Amsterdam could be a different kind of hangover. It could be fun. And Zach [Galifanakis] will probably already be there.”
After hosting the Billboard Music Awards Ken Jeong said he would be interested in a third film. He goes on to say, "I would absolutely do a third one [with] no fear of typecasting. All of my fame and success in the last few years is directly due to The Hangover. Those guys are like family to me, so it doesn't matter -- big part or small part… Well, I guess I know a thing or two about small parts.”
Jeong also mentioned that director Todd Phillips refers to Part II “the Empire Strikes Back of the Hangover trilogy,” so a Return of the Jedi would make sense.
I loved The Hangover Part II an highly recommend you see it in theaters this weekend. The wolfpack and characters in this film are so amazing and have such great chemistry together. This is the best comedy of the summer so far. Amsterdam would be a great location for the third film, which I believe will be greenlit soon.
