Stephen Collins to play Mr. Harter in THE THREE STOOGES

Stephen Collins has been cast against type in the role of the bad guy in Peter and Bobby Farrelly'sThe Three Stooges. He will play the role of Mr. Harter in the comedy from 20th Century Fox. Mr. and Mrs, Harter (Sofia Vergara) "are the charming couple that adopts the slap happy trio, for less than benevolent reasons." 

He joins Larry David, who recently was cast as Mother Mengele,  Jane Lynch, who plays Mother Superior, Chris Diamantopoulos, who’s signing on to play Moe,Will Sasso, who's playing Curly, and Sean Hayes, who signed on recently to play Larry Fine. The film is said to have a $30 million budget and will be filmed in three 27-minute segments (just like the originals) to make a single story. Production is scheduled to begin in May for a 2012 release.

This cast seems to be shaping up for this film quite nicely. I am interested in seeing how the Farrelly's vision of the Stooges comes out on screen. What are your thoughts on this casting news?
