Check out this Great Poster Art for TROLL HUNTER

Here's a great movie poster for writer/director André Øvredal's new film Troll Hunter. The poster was created by artist James Stokoe, and I love it! Unfortunately most major studios won't go this route with movie poster designs anymore. It's all about promo photos photoshopped together these days. In an interview the artist talked about his poster creation saying,

There were a couple of standout moments in the movie that I keyed on. There's a scene where the main character is on a bridge and he's wearing armor and has to get a blood sample out of a troll. You want to take certain scenes that stand out to you and put that on the poster, but kind of broaden it a bit and make it a little more flashy. I looked at a lot of other movie posters, too. I looked at a bunch of Drew Struzan stuff, honestly. I have a big poster of "Big Trouble In Little China" on my wall.

The trolls in "Troll Hunter" are based a lot more off the old folktale trolls, with the big noses and stuff like that. They sent me a lot of reference for that and it was fun doing something more classical than what I do on Orc Stain, which is stuff I just come up with on the fly

The film is currently available on On Demand and will get a limited release of theaters on June 10th. I highly suggest you check it out because it was a very fun movie, that I think is worth watching.
