Michael Cera to star in indie thriller MAGIC, MAGIC

Michael Cera is set to star in the indie thriller Magic, Magic. Despite fan love for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, it pretty much bombed at the box-office last summer. According to Variety, the film focuses on "a girl vacationing with her friends in a remote area of Chile who slowly starts losing her mental faculties; she tries to get her friends’ attention, but they ignore her until it’s too late."

This role marks a departure for Cera, who is best known for roles in comedies like Superbad and Juno. I am interested to learn more about this project as news becomes available.
