Stanley Tucci Officially Cast in THE HUNGER GAMES
It was rumored awhile back that Stanley Tucci was in talks to join the Gary Ross directed adaptation of The Hunger Games. Today it's been confirmed that he's now officially a cast member. Tucci is set to play Casesar Flickerman. Here's a description of the character from the studio,
Caesar Flickerman is utterly familiar to all the citizens of Panem as the l host of the Hunger Games. Known for his outrageous appearance and buoyant personality, his upbeat interviews of the 24 tributes – a boy and a girl from each of the country’s 12 districts – are presented on every television in the nation. He is famous for turning any conversation around to the positive and finding humor in even the most dire circumstances.
Tucci is a wonderful actor who makes a great addition to any movie that he is in, and he will do a great job in this role. The next time we will see Tucci up on the big screen will be in July when Captain America: The First Avenger comes out. He also going to be in Bryan Singer's upcoming film Jack the Giant Killer.
