Amy Adams Joins Paul Thomas Anderson's New Film

Amy Adams is the latest actress to join Paul Thomas Anderson's untitled Scientology inspired religious Drama. She joins the previously cast Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin PhoenixMadisen Beaty (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Amy AdamsLaura Dern, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo's Lena Endre, Friday Night Lights actorJesse Plemonsand veteran character actorDavid Warshofsky.

Adams will play the wife of the character played by Hoffman, "a man who returns after witnessing the horrors of WWII and tries to rediscover who he is in post-war America. He creates a belief system, something that catches on with other lost souls in post-war America." Phoenix will play an "alcoholic drifter who becomes his right-hand man and disciple." 

The film is being distributed by The Weinstein Company, and production is set to start later this month. This film is really bringing together a great cast of actors, and why wouldn't it? Paul Thomas Anderson is one hell of a great filmmaker and storyteller.
