Ellie Kemper goes from BRIDESMAIDS to teacher in 21 JUMP STREET

Ellie Kemper is on fire after starring in Bridesmaids. Variety reports that she has signed on for a supporting role in Columbia Pictures' action comedy 21 Jump Street. She will star opposite Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum who play undercover cops posing as high school students. Kemper will play Ms. Griggs, "an annoyingly sincere chemistry teacher who's attracted to Tatum's character and surprised when she discovers he's not a real student."

The cast also includes Ice Cube,  Brie Larson, Rob Riggle, Dave Franco, Johnny Simmons, Dakota Johnson, Jake M. Johnson and DeRay Davis. 21 Jump Street is being directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller based on their own screenplay. The film is currently in production and being produced by Neal Moritz along with Tatum and Hill as executive producers.

I first became a fan of Kemper from her role as receptionist Erin on NBC's The Office. She was great in Bridesmaids, which has grossed over $120 million domestically. She has also had roles in Get Him to the Greek and Mystery Team, as well as Sofia Coppola's Somewhere.
