First Full Length Trailer for THE MUPPETS
Here is the first full length trailer for Disney's The Muppets. Up until now we've seen a teaser trailer made to look like another movie, and two spoof trailers, one parodying The Hangover 2, the other Green Lantern. The new trailer is packed full of never before seen footage, and gives us a much better sense of what this movie is going to be about. It looks like it's going to be a fantastic fun time, especially for those of us who grew up watching these characters.
The film has a great cast of actors that includes Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, Rashida Jones, Alan Arkin, Jack Black, Billy Crystal, Zach Galifianakis, Kathy Griffin, Ricky Gervais, Emily Blunt. and all of our favorite Muppet characters.
Here's the synopsis of the film:
On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Segel) and Mary (Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.
The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on November 23, 2011. Watch the great new trailer below and tell us what you think!
