Takashi Miike, the director of recent films such as Ichi the Killer, 13 Assassins and Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai, has taken some time to make a more fun goofy kid friendly type film called Ninja Kids!!! Which is a live-action film based on the anime series Nintama Rantaro, which was adapted from the manga Rakudai Ninja Rantaro.

The movie looks completely silly, and very entertaining. The story follows a group of young ninjas, Rantaro and his friends, and the adventures they have while attending a ninja academy. The film will premiere in Japan this July, and it stars Seishirô Katô as the main character Rantaro, who looks great in the role.
