Jason Keller hired to write adaptation of Justin Cronin's THE PASSAGE

Jason Keller has been hired to rewrite the adaptation of Justin Cronin's 2009 vampire novel The Passagefor Fox 2000. Earlier we reported that Matt Reeves (Let Me In) had signed on to direct the film. The first draft of the film was written by John Logan when Ridley Scott, who is producing the project, was possibly set to direct.

Passage tells the story of"a group of terminally ill cancer patients that get get healthy after being subjected to the bites of bats in South America. Naturally, the government see this as a cure for the disease and starts experimenting. They end up with a legion of nearly indestructible, telepathic vampire masters that begin infecting the populace," bringing the world to the brink of extinction. 

Keller currently has his screenplay for Go Like Hell in development at Fox. Keller has been busy lately, having wrote the screenplay for Machine Gun Preacher, recently acquired by Relativity Media for a fall release. He also co-wrote Relativity's untitled Snow White film, which just started filming with Lilly Collins, Armie Hammer, and Julia Roberts starring.
