New Promo Trailer for GREEN LANTERN: THE ANIMATED SERIES

Cartoon Network has released a new promo trailer for Green Lantern: The Animated Series, which gives us a much better look at the upcoming CG animated Green Lantern series. I'm hoping that Warner Bros. and DC came up with a fun series. The writing can't be any worse than the live-action movie that they made. This could end up being a fun little series, and that's all I'm hoping for.

The show is being produced by Bruce Timm, and features the voice of Josh Keaton as Hal Jordan and Robert Englund as a Red Lantern character. Other characters that will be in the series include Kilowog, the Guardians of the Universe, Carol Ferris, Salaak, Sayd, Saint Walker, and Zilius Zox. The main antagonists of the show will be the Red Lantern Corps, led by the villain Atrocitus, and the Manhunters. This will not be an origin story, the story will focus on Jordan, Kilowog and a Red Lantern, for those not familiar, the Red Lantern Corps is fueled by the light of rage, and its ring-wielders roam the galaxy seeking violent retribution and death.

The show is set to premiere at the end of 2011 after the movie has been released. Watch the spot below and let us know what you think. Does it look like it will be a good series?
