Emma Stone offered Elizabeth Bennet role in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES

Emma Stone may soon go from hanging around a super cool web slinger as Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man to hanging out with zombies. Variety is reporting that Stone has been offered the role of Elizabeth Bennet in Lionsgate’s Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The deal is not officialy, but filming is slated to begin sometime this year.

The film is a retelling of Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice. It tells the tale of a woman’s quest for love and independence amid the outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the undead into vicious killers. Craig Gillespie came on board the project in April, after both David O Russell (The Fighter) and Mike White (Year of the Dog) both dropped out.

Stone has kicked zombie ass before in Zombieland, so it will be cool to see her take on the walking dead again. Audiences will see her next in Friends with Benefits, Crazy, Stupid, Loveand The Help. I think that this is great casting. What are your thoughts?
