Emma Thompson to Write ANNIE for Will Smith?
Will Smith and Jay-Z are in the process of developing a new big screen adaptation of the classic musical Annie. It's being reported that Smith wants Emma Thomspon to write the script for the film which will star his daughter Willow. Negotiations are currently underway.
Will Smith is set to star in the film that I imagine will turn out to be a hip-hop version of the classic musical. Thompson is an Academy Award Winning screenwriter, so her being hired to write the film will only help the production.
What are your thoughts on this new Annie adaptation?
