SPY KIDS 4 gets Smell-O-Vision
Oh good hell, really Robert Rodriguez? This summer Spy Kids 4: All The Time in the World in 4-D will be released in what the director is calling Aromascope. No matter what you call it it's still Smell-O-Vision. The audience will be given a card loaded with eight different smells that people can smell. What a joke. It is explained that you will wipe your finger over the scent the way you do with an iPhone or an iPad. Ricky Gervais, who provides the voice of the robotic dog, will tell the audience how it all works before the movie begins.
Rodriguez had given some pretty ridiculous statements saying,
After Spy Kids 3, I had to do something new, add another surprise.
So this is it, this is what you came up with? The big question now is will James Cameron jump on board and create a whole new technology for it for his new Avatar sequels? Scratch and sniff cards are so low-tech. Rodriguez then adds,
It's very fun and interactive since you never know where and when a smell will come next. It adds a lot of extra laughs... You never know, It would be great if it caught on and everyone started doing it.
No it wouldn't. Look, I'm sure the kids will get a kick out of it, and I guess thats all that matters. It's just not for me. As for my kids, thankfully the don't want to see the movie either. What do you think? Am I being to harsh on this Aromavision idea?
