Screenwriter Diablo Cody to Direct LAMB OF GOD

Juno screenwriter Diablo Cody is set to make her directorial debut with a new comedy that she wrote called Lamb of God. The film is set up at Mandate Pictures and Mason Novick is set to produce, who has worked with Cody on Jason Reitman's Juno and Young Adult.

The story follows a young conservative religious woman who loses her faith after a plane crash, decides to go to Las Vegas to live the life of a sinner, and on her journey finds her way back to her faith. 

This seems like the kind of film that will end up being a hit in the film festival circut, even if it doesn't turn out being that good. It will be interesting to see how Cody ends up doing directing her first feature film. After all she is an Oscar winner, but she also wrote Jennifer's Body which was laughably bad. Everyone's allowed to make crappy films ever now and then though. I hope she ends up making a great film.
