Dwayne Johnson in talks for John Chu's G.I. JOE: COBRA STRIKES

Dwayne Johnson is in talks to star in John Chu's G.I. Joe sequel, G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes. As we've reported, the majority of the cast from the first film are not returning, but it looks like the sequel could get an adrenaline injection from The Rock! If cast, he would join Lee Byung-hun (Storm Shadow), Ray Park (Snake Eyes) and Channing Tatum (Duke) in the film.

Deadline reports that Johnson is currently in talks with Paramount to play a character named Roadblock. The film will be shot in 2D and not 3D according to earlier statements from Chu, who last directed Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. Johnson was a big help for Fast Five and it makes sense that his addition will help this sequel as well.
