Fox Animation developing new take on KING KONG story
Fox Animation is developing a new take on the King Kong story, according to Deadline. This makes sense, since 20th Century Fox is already dealing with some awesome vfx for Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The script will be written by Christian Magalhaes and Bob Snow. The story will be a modern day twist on the legendary primate. The project is being produced by Shawn Levy's 21 Laps along with Ted Field's Radar Pictures.
The film will be animated, and will tell the story from the vantage point of the ape. This is a nice change from the original story in my mind. I would have hated being enslaved and forced to perform and not being able to tell my captors no. No wonder he climbs up the Empire State building. This sounds like a cool concept, what are your thoughts?
