FRINGE's Brad Caleb Kane hired to write DAREDEVIL reboot

Earlier we reported that Fox was moving ahead with a reboot fo 2003's Daredevil and that David Slade was set to direct. The studio has now hired Brad Caleb Kane to adapt Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli’s "Born Again" graphic novel. Kane is best known for his work as a writer-producer on Fringe. The film is being produced with Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark of Chernin Entertainment.

Here is a description of the story from Amazon:

"And I -- I have shown him... that a man without hope is a man without fear." The definitive Daredevil tale! Karen Page, Matt Murdock's former lover, has traded away the Man Without Fear's secret identity for a drug fix. Now, Daredevil must find strength as the Kingpin of Crime wastes no time taking him down as low as a human can get.

Kane has gained a lot of noteriety with his script for the crime drama, Brooklyn’s Finest. That script buzz allowd him to work on View-Master for DreamWorks, a Richard Pryor biopic being directed by Bill Condon, and a draft of The Historian, the adaptation of the Elizabeth Kostova vampire novel for Columbia. THR repots that Kane is a passionate fan of the Daredevil source material, which allowed him to land the writing gig,

I think that anything can be better than the original film. It is even better that Kane is a fan, and that Slade is directing. What are your thoughts on this news?
