This weekend Terrence Malick's The Tree Of Life continues to expand in North America and all over hte world, but the UK. No word of a UK release has been available until today. In April, it was reported that Icon had planned to release the film before its premiere at Cannes, which was a breach of contract with Summit International. According to Deadline, Fox Searchlight has picked up the U.K. rights to the film from Bill Pohlad's River Road Entertainment, which financed the film.

A July 8 opening is planned for the UK. So far the film has had a four screen average of $93,230 per theater, which beats Black Swan's launch for the studio. The film has added eight markets and will add another 12 this week to a total of 22.
