Seth Green and Matthew Senreich have teamed up on a new live-action/stop-motion series on YouTube. The duo won an Emmy last year for Cartoon Network's Robot ChickenDeadline reports that Stoopid Monkey will be released each Friday for 10 weeks beginning July 15. The show follows "the misadventures of Stoopid Monkey, Biggie and QT as they interact with real people."

Green and Senreich's Stoopid Monkey Productions are partnering on the project with Joe Kavanagh, who launched the Harry Potter, Batman and Justice League action figure brands for Mattel. The comedy series will be directed by John Harvatine IV, Eric Towner and David Brooks for Buddy System Studios, where the animation work is being done. The script was penned  by Matthew Beans, and he is producing the sketch shorts with Steve Tzirlin, Nakia Trower-Shuman and Terence Liff.

Sounds like a perfect use of YouTube for this type of series. If this project goes over well, I am sure we may see other projects of this type. What are your thoughts on this news?
