LOST's Tania Raymonde joins TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D

Movie by

Tania Raymonde (Lost) has been cast in a lead role in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D. Earlier we reported that Alexandra Daddario was in talks to star as well. The film will be directed by John Luessenhop (Takers) iand is set to take place after Tobe Hooper's original 1974 horror classic. The script was penned by Adam Marcus and Debra Sullivan, and polished by Kirsten Elms and Luessenhop.

Raymonde will play Nikki, "a small-town girl with an attitude who is the best friend of Heather (Daddario), who travels to small-town Texas to collect her inheritance, which includes her deranged cousin Leatherface. Massacre 3D is being produced by Carl Mazzocone and exec produced by Avi Lerner and Mark Burg. The goal is for the film to help launch a new fright franchise featuring the iconic, chainsaw-loving villain Leatherface and his oddball family. Production is set to start later this month in Shreveport, Louisiana, in order to meet it's Oct. 5, 2012 scheduled release date.

I am glad to see that she has found more work after starring in Lost. I liked her on that show and she will be perfect for this film. I am looking forward to seeing this film a litte more each time I report on the news. Share your thoughts on this casting news?
