Kevin Costner to Join Tarantino's DJANGO UNCHAINED

Director Quentin Tarantino is going to cast Kevin Costner in his next film project Django Unchained. The actor is currently in negotiations to join the film, which includes the previously cast Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson and Leonardo DiCaprio

This movie sounds like it's going to be awesome, I'm a fan of Tarantino's work, and this movie sounds like it's going to be crazy and good. The film has been described as a Sergio Leone style Spaghetti Western, only Tarantinio is calling it a southern. Costner will play a character named Ace Woody, "the sadistic trainer of the male fighting slaves who entertain the white patrons of Candyland as well as the female slaves who are forced to be prostitutes. The club and ranch are owned by Calvin Candie (DiCaprio) and Ace Woody is the one who pits the "mandingo" fighters against one another, and has little qualms about mistreating and even killing the slaves who don't measure up."

Wow, there's a few more details of the movie we didn't know about until now. DiCaprio and Costner's characters are freakin' jacked up. If Costner is looking for a new jump in his acting career this could be it. Look what Tarantino did for John Travolta. I know Costner is much older than Travolta was, but this could spark new life in the actors career, who is also playing Jonathan Kent in The Man of Steel

As previously reported, the story follows Django (Fox), a freed slave, who, under the protection and care of a German bounty hunter (Waltz) becomes a bad-ass bounty hunter himself, and after assisting Waltz in taking down some bad guys for profit, is helped by Waltz in tracking down his slave wife and liberating her from an evil plantation owner (DiCaprio). This film also deals with racism and is handled in a way unlike anything we've ever seen in a film before. According to someone that read the script, "it’s a 100 percent pure popcorn and revenge flick, it is pure genius in the way it takes on the evil slave owning south. Think of what he did with the Nazis in Inglorious and you’ll get a sense of what he’s doing with slave owners and slave overseers in this one."

What do you think about Costner joining the film and the character he plays?
