1970's Sci-Fi Film COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT Getting Remade

Movie by Joey Paur

Producer Brain Grazer is throwing together a remake of the 1970's sci-fi film Colossus: The Forbin Project. He's already hired screenwriter Blake Masters (Law & Order: LA) to work on doing a rewirte for the film which was previously written by Jason Rothenberg.

The original story takes place during the Cold War and centers on "a genius who creates a supercomputer put in charge of independently regulating the national defense of the U.S. It's soon discovered the Russians have created a similar computer, and the two machines have begun sharing top-secret information. The Russians and Americans must work together before the computers seize control of each country's stockpile of missiles."

I imagine that this will be updated so that it takes place during the present day. I've never seen the original film, but after I watched the trailer, I have to see it! It looks cheeseily awesome! I can see why they would want to remake this movie, it could be really fun. Check out the original trailer below and tell us what you think.
