Marvel has released this first slick teaser poster for their epic upcoming comic-book film The Avengers! The film was written and is being directed by Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård and Amanda Righetti.

The film opens up on May 4th 2012 and this is one of the most anticipated film of 2012. Some footage of the film will be shown after Captain America: The First Avenger, and more footage will be featured in August at Disney's D23.
