SDCC 2011: SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR moving ahead

The long-awaited sequel to 2005's Sin City looks to be closer to moving into production. Robert Rodriguez announced the news during his panel today in Hall H and stated, "Frank has written a script for 'Sin City 2. It could shoot as early as later this year."

According to Comingsoon, the film will adapt from Frank Miller's original story. It will reportedly "feature two all-new stories set in the Sin City universe." One of the titles for the film, The Long Bad Night, was revealed today for the first time. It is not known who would return to star in the sequel, but the Dame To Kill For story does feature Marv (Mickey Rourke) and Nancy (Jessica Alba).

I am a huge fan of Sin City and have been looking forward to the sequel as soon as it was announced. The seems like ages ago, so I am glad to finally see some action on the project. Marv is my favorite characters, so it would be cool to see him on the big screen again.
