SDCC 2011: TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN Part I panel - Tiberius' take

Movie TwilightComic-Con by

I braved the mass of hysterical fans in line since Monday to bring you the excitement from the Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part I. As you can expect there were tons of screaming fans excited to catch a glimpse of Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. They were not let down because they were all in attendance as expected along with director Bill Condon. In addition, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene and Elizabeth Reaser came in and surprised audiences.

We were treated to an exclusive bit of footage from the film. Condon treated audiences to an exclusive look at thed honeymoon sequence, much to the delight of those in attendance. The footage was rather longer than I expected and showed Bella and Edward arriving at the Isle of Esme and entering into the infamous honeymoon suite. Bella then begins preparing herself to consummate the marriage and the scene ends with her deciding what she should wear, she ends up opting for just a robe and enters into the moonlit water naked to meet her husband Edward.

As a fan of the books and films thus far (yes I said it) I was excited to see the new footage. After the footage we were treated to some Q&A from the audience, which makes me feel so much better about my interviewing skills. None of the questions were hard hitting or out of the ordinary, but it was cool for me to learn how the stars work to embody their characters. Condon revealed that Stewart's knowledge of material was extensive, which makes sense because her character is such an integral part of the story.

I know that there are going to be many of you that think I am nuts that I like The Twilight Saga. Sorry to burst your bubble, I am definitely a bit nuts. I am a fan of the films and have loved the use of some cool songs on the soundtrack. Unfortunately, no news dropped about the upcoming soundtrack. One of the aspects I am looking forward to most is the fact that this film will have some cool action sequences, an intense birthing sequence and as Condon stated, an amazing last 30 minutes!

Let the Twilight bashing begin!
