America Ferrera cast as female cop in END OF WATCH

America Ferrera (Ugly Betty) has been cast opposite Jake Gyllenhaal and Anna Kendrick in End of Watch. Varity reports that Ferrera will play a female cop named Orozco. Michael Pena also stars in the film. Ferrera has also had roles in How to Train Your Dragon 2 and a short arc in The Good Wife.

The film is reportedly a gritty drama that follows the friendship of two officers over the course of a number of years. This will be the most adult role that Ferrera has had and it sounds like a nice change of pace for her. What are your thoughts on this news?
