Release Date Set for Warner Bros. ARTHUR & LANCELOT
It was recently reported that Warner Bros. bought David Dobkin's spec script titled Arthur & Lancelot for $2 million bucks. The film will be a new contemporary take of the classic King Arthur legend that we've heared several times before.
Warner Bros. has had several other King Arthur in development like Bryan Singer's remake of the 1981 John Boorman movie Excalibur, and then there was the Guy Ritchie directed film as well. It seems as if those movie will no longer happen now that this new film has been put on the fast track. I t will be interesting to see how this film turns out. I love the legend of Arthur, I just hope this is a great new retelling.
Dobkin recently directed the Universal Pictures comedy The Change-Up, which stars Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds.
