Michael Fassbender out of TRANCE, Boyle seeking Firth and Johannson

 

Michael Fassbender is officially out of Danny Boyle's Trance. Twitch reports that the Fassbender has definitely dropped out of the film. They also revealed who Boyle seeks to replace him with, as well as another significant cast addition. 

Word is that Colin Firth and Scarlett Johannson are Boyle's top choices for the roles of Aiden and Elizabeth in the thriller about a heist that goes drastically wrong. Firth is a fantastic actor, so it's no surprise that he is in contention. Johansson is the favorite on Boyle's short list that includes Zoe Saldana and Mélanie Thierry. We will keep you posted on this story as it develops. Filming is slated to begin in London this September. 

I would personally rather see Saldana and Firth in this over Johannson, but Boyle usually gets what he wans. What are yoru thoughts on this news?
