Mark Wahlberg is in talks to star in the feature adaptationn of 2 Guns from Universal Pictures. Comingsoon reports that the projec is based on the graphic novel by Steven Grant published by BOOM! Studios. The script was penned by Blake Masters and will be produced by Marc Platt and Adam Siegel will oversee the project for Marc Platt Productions. Andrew Cosby and Ross Richie will produce for BOOM! Studios. Unversal's Co-President of Production, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Creative Executive, Kiska Higgs will oversee the project.

Here is a description of the story:

"2 Guns" is a pulp story about cops and thieves and the men that are something in between. In the graphic novel, Trench has targeted a local bank to rob, and asked Steadman in on the job. Trench figures it's a great way to score – considering it's a cover for mob money. They'll be thieves ripping off thieves. But what Steadman doesn't know is that Trench is a DEA agent. And what Trench doesn't know is that Steadman's got his own secret and isn't who he appears to be."

I am not familar with this graphic novel, but it sounds cool. Wahlberg is great at playing this type of role. I prefer him in these types of films over comedies personally. What are your thoughts of this news?
