A GAME OF THRONES gets a George Costanza Twist

I never would have thought in a million years that we would see a Seinfeld style mash-up parody of the George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire book series. This is actually happening! Thomas Dunne Books has signed a deal to publish a book called A Game of Groans by George R.R. Costanza. This will basically be a retelling of the story through the mind of Seinfeld's George Castanza, at least that what I envision it being. 

Here's the brief blurp that was released in Publishers Marketplace, and it sounds pretty weird and whacky. In all honesty I don't think I will be taking the time to read this book. It's funny yet pointless. 

[The book is] set in a world where seasons can last decades (and comparisons to Tolkien a lifetime), the warmth is returning, and in the thawing tundra to the North of Summerseve, the future of the Bark family, their BFFs, and their enemies dangles in the balance.
