Danny Trejo and M.C. Gainey to star in SyFy's HAUNTED HIGH

Movie Danny Trejo by

Danny Trejo and M.C. Gainey have joined forces for SyFy's Haunted High. THR reports tha the film is being directed by Jeffrey Lando and also stars Buffy the Vampire alum Charisma Carpenter, Marc Donato of Degrassi: Next Generation fame and relative newcomer Jonathan Baron.

Paul A. Birkett and Anthony C. Ferrante wrote the story that is "set at the fictional Holloman Acadey, a New England private school that is visted by a demonic dead headmaster (Gainey). Baron is the headmasters grandson and must fight to save the school while Donato is the school’s bad boy. Carpenter plays the sexy librariain while Trejo is a janitor who is secretly the kick-but guardian of the school."

The project is being produced by Griff Furst and it's currently filming in New Orleans, while Kenneth Badish and Daniel Lewis are serving as executive producers. The Syfy movie may even have a limited theatrical release. Trejo is constantly working and will be seen next in the Muppets movie as well as a Very Harold & Kumar Christmas. Gainey is known from TV’s Justified and  ABC’s Lost.

I am not typically a fan of SyFy movies, but this could be cool. What are your thoughts on this news?
