D23 Expo: FRANKENWEENIE logo revealed

Here is the first look at the logo for Tim Burton's Frankenweenie. Producers Don Hahn and Allison Abbate gave the D23 Expo audience a peek at the film and a demonstration on how these fascinating characters come to life through stop-motion animation. The script is written by John August and will be shot in black and white and rendered in 3D, which should take the experience to a new level.

Here is a description of the film:

Frankenweenie is a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous.

The films characters will be voiced by Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron and Conchata Ferrell.
