Donnie Yen offered role in THE EXPENDABLES 2, Jet Li not returning

Donnie Yen has been offered a role in The Expendables 2. Twitch (via Hong Kong newspapers) reports that the Hong Kong "actor/martial artist/fight choreographer met with producer Avi Lerner recently and was offered a "tailor-made" role in the sequel."

Twitch goes on to report, "A spokesperson from Yen's company confirmed that there was in fact an offer, and went on to say that Yen may be interested in The Expendables, but because he currently has a number of projects to choose from, he will not decide until he sees if the script appeals to him or not."

According to IGN, Jet Li "will not be returning for the next installment." This is the first I have heard about this, but Yen would be agreat addition. The Expendables 2 starts shooting in October.
