Jessica Biel NOT starring in MAGIC MIKE

Earlier we reported that Jessica Biel was likely to join the cast of Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike. She was going to play the role of a stripper named Amber in the film. Variety's Justin Kroll has now reported that Biel has passed on the role. The cast of the stripper film is well rounded and includes Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer, Riley Keough.

The script was written by Reid Carolin and tells the real-life story of Tatum'early career as a male stripper. According to Deadline, Tatum plays the title character, "who schools a young dancer (Pettyfer) in how to hustle on and off the stage. It's a wild summer of dancing, partying, and women. The inspiration was Channing's own experiences as a stripper when he was 19." Tatum and Nick Wechsler are producing with Gregory Jacobs and Carolin.

Not much is known as to why Biel dropped the role, I wonder who will be added to off-set the male centered cast. Who would you like to see in the film?
