Ben Affleck in talks to direct and star in action thriller LINE OF SIGHT

Ben Affleck is close to starting production on Argo, and it looks like he has found his next project. THR reprots that the actor is in talks to star in, direct and produce Line of Sight for Warner Bros.that is being produced by Joel Silver and Andrew Rona. Silver Pictures' Alex Heineman conceived the idea and will serve as exec producer.

The story centers on "an elite commando squad transporting cargo while dealing with a global threat." One of hte cool aspects of the movie is that it tells the tale from "a point-of-view akin to a first-person shooter game." Peter O’Brien, the man who wrote the game Halo: Reach for Xbox 360, penned the second draft of the script. Sarah Schechter is overseeing for Warners. The project was initially picked up by Warner Bros.-based Silver Pictures in March as a spec written by F. Scott Frazier.

I loved Gone Baby Gone and The Town, and am excited to see Argo. This sounds like a great project for Affleck. It will be interesting to see how the first-person shooter style translates on the big screen. What are your thoughts on this news?
