What's Next for Christian Bale after Batman - OLDBOY? GOLD? NOAH?
One thing actor Christian Bale will never have to worry about is finding a new job. The guy is a fantastic and talented actor that ups the quality and value of any film. He's the only reason I saw Terminator Salvation, but the movie still sucked. Other than that he's made a solid stream of movies. But, what does the actor have planned after he's completed The Dark Knight Rises?
The actor hasn't officially attached himself to anything yet, he's waiting until he's finished focusing on Batman before he jumps on board anything. Here are a few things that the actor is currently considering....
He's looking a joining a third remake of the film A Star is Born being directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Beyonce Knowles. At one point Leonard DiCaprio was in talks to star in the film. The story follows A movie star who helps a young singer/actress find fame, even as age and alcoholism send his own career into a downward spiral.
Bale could end up starring in Michael Mann's next film Gold a thriller which is compared to the film The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, set around a ruthless hunt for Gold by prospectors and speculators.
This next one was a pleasant surprise... the actors is considering taking on a role in Spike Lee's remake of Oldboy. Which is awesome. I have no idea what role he would be taking, but it might be the villain role since Josh Brolin is wanted for the main character.
Then there's a film called Out of Furnace by director Scott Cooper, which I don't know anything about.
And finally we have him circling the lead role in Darren Aronofsky's Noah biblical epic, which will show the prophet a a dark complicated character. It's also been described as an "environmental apocalypse."
There's not doubt Bale would be awesome in any of these roles. Out of this list what movies would you like to see him take on?
