Creepy Red-Band Trailer for DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK

TrailerMovie Red-Band by Joey Paur

A awesomely creepy new red-band trailer has been released for the Guillermo del Toro produced, Troy Nixie directed film Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, which is my #1 most anticipated horror film of the year. It looks like it going to be terrifying! Just to remind you this movie is rated R, but it's not rated R for blood and gore, this horror film is rated R for because it's so damn frightening. So the reason this trailer got the red-band is because it's scary as all hell. What the hell do a bunch little monsters want with kids teeth anyway?!

Synopsis:

Guillermo del Toro presents DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK, a horror film starring Katie HolmesGuy Pearce and Bailee Madison, directed by Troy Nixey. Based on the 1973 telefilm that del Toro believes is the scariest TV production ever made, the story follows Sally (Madison), a young girl who moves to Rhode Island to live with her father (Pearce) and his new girlfriend (Holmes) in the 19th-century mansion they are restoring. While exploring the house, Sally starts to hear voices coming from creatures in the basement whose hidden agenda is to claim her as one of their own. Akin to del Toro's PAN'S LABYRINTH, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK focuses on a young girl's struggle against menacing and terrifying forces.

The film is scheduled to be released later this month on August 26th, and I can't wait to see it! Check out the red-band trailer below and tell us what you think!
