Olivia Wilde circling BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY
Olivia Wilde is considering a role in Better Living Through Chemistry. Variety reports that Wilde would step in for the departing Jennifer Garner, who had to drop out because her pregnancy conflicts with the planned production.
This film has had it's share of casting changes. Jeremy Renner and Garner signed on at about the same time last year, with Renner attached to play the male lead. Since then, Sam Rockwell has stepped in to play the role of "a small-town pharmacist stuck in a loveless marriage." Michelle Monaghan is starring as his wife and Judi Dench will narrate. Wilde would play the woman with whom Rockwell's character has an affair and winds up both taking drugs and, soon, plotting murder.
The film marks the directorial debut of Geoff Moore and David Posamentier, who also wrote the screenplay. Wilde needs a meaty role like this after Cowboys & Aliens did poorly at the box office. What are your thoughts on this news?
